HOT lanes are a hot topic in Northern Virginia. Since 2012, five High Occupancy Toll projects have been implemented or approved in the 95 and 66 corridors, with four of these being operated through public-private partnerships.

Allowing solo drivers to pay to use freer-flowing lanes, HOT lanes have passionate defenders — and equally hot detractors. What have we learned so far from Northern Virginia’s experiences with HOT lanes? Are they an effective solution to our region’s transportation problems?

Join us on March 21 for a discussion of Virginia’s experiences with HOT lanes and public-private transportation partnerships. We’ll be joined by speakers Stewart Schwartz, Executive Director of the Coalition for Smarter Growth, and Brent McKenzie, Government Relations and Community Affairs Manager at Transurban, a leading developer of toll road networks and operator of several Virginia HOT lane projects.

Dinner Cost:  Members – $39  Non-Members – $49
Payment can be made by credit card in advance — or at the event with check or cash.

To pay by credit card, request an invoice in your RSVP message.
